Not a good way to do it, since you have very little pipe in the unions. A better way is to remove the stop in a union and slide it on. You have more of the pipe grabbing.

There should be sleeves that are not tapered, so that you can slide double deep on one side then insert full length pipe, then slide back, for 100% sleeve penetration.

My warer softner is filled half way with water fir three days now. I havent heard it go on at 3am like it normally does. The plumber that installed it ten years ago set it for that time. He never told me i needed to get it maintained yearly. Im single mom and flat broke so i cant afford to get it fixed. Not sure what i should do. What should i check? Should i try checking the hoses for leaks? There isnt a light by the softener because the guy that finished the basement in 2007 never installed one. Ill use my phone light. I need your help please

It appears my "salt bridge" extends all the way to the bottom of the tank. Do I have to remove all of the salt?

I am currently cleaning my parents' house where my mother smoked multiple packs of cigarettes for 45+ years. At this point, the tar is decades old and the only thing that melts it (yes, melts) is hot (boiling water), Fabuloso, and blue Dawn dish detergent. The hotter the water, the more the tar melts. I don't know if we will ever completely eliminate the smell. Its so nasty. Your video is true to life. Every inch of the house has to deep cleaned.

I have done this type of repair before, on a corner piece, but I didn't know how to place the middle piece in a straight line. Your technique is to just lift them up to insert the middle piece, smart. It just needs digging more along the pipe lines.

I bought this mower. It started right up the first time I used it. Then after 5 minutes it quit. It started back up and then quit again. I couldn't get it started until I let it rest for awhile. I then borrowed my neighbor's mower and finished mowing my yard. I took my brand new Craftsman mower back and got my money back.

word to the wise when the batteries get below about 50% the tone gets too quiet to hear through most walls so i would recommend putting rechargeable batteries in them if you use them a lot

We had a Model H when I was a teenager. It blew smoke rings when we burned kerosene. No idea if that was normal or some oddity with our tractor - it was pretty old even in the 1970s. I gotta say, too: a foot throttle on a Model H just ain't natural. I suppose it's OK for running on the pavement, but the thing is too bouncy to run it fast enough off-road to need quick throttle adjustments. 😮

I really dislike when people don't properly deburr the pipe ends before solvent bonding everything together... deburring is just as, or more important than using primer.
